Privacy Policy
Tikly: Tasbeeh & Tally Counter · Effective 3 November 2026
Introduction
This policy explains how Tikly ("we", "the app") handles information. It applies to the iOS and Android apps.
Data you enter
Counters, counts, history, notes and settings are stored in a local database on your device. We never receive them. Deleting the app deletes this data from the device.
Advertising (free version)
The free version shows banner ads from Google AdMob (on iPhone also occasional full-screen ads). To serve ads, Google and its partners may collect and process data such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information and ad interactions, subject to Google's privacy policy. We do not receive this data.
- Consent (UMP): where required, for example in the EEA and UK, the app shows Google's consent form before requesting ads.
- iPhone (ATT): the app asks whether you allow tracking across other companies' apps and websites. If you decline, ads can still appear but are not personalized by tracking.
- Android: ads use the Android advertising ID, which you can reset or delete in your device settings.
- Pro: if you buy Tikly Pro, ads are no longer shown.
Analytics and crash reports (Android only)
The Android app includes Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google). They may collect app usage events, crash logs, device and OS information and an app instance identifier, to help us fix crashes and understand how the app is used. See Firebase privacy information. The iPhone app has no such SDK.
Purchases
Tikly Pro is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own terms and privacy policies. We receive no payment details. The app checks your purchase status with the store.
Permissions
- Android: internet access (ads, billing, Firebase) and vibration (haptic feedback).
- iPhone: App Tracking Transparency prompt, as described above.
Export and backups
CSV export (Pro) creates a file that goes where you save or share it. We never receive it. On Android, your device's system backup (Google) may also include app data, depending on your device settings.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Your rights
We hold no personal data about you in our own systems, so there is nothing to access, correct or delete on our side. For data handled by Google, use Google's controls and your device settings. Under the GDPR you may contact us or your data protection authority with any request or complaint.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it.
